Cross tattoos are some of my favorite tattoos and I am sure that am not alone. Many people today have used this symbol as a tattoo design for many reasons. Some are used to identify with a particular religion or faith, while others simply like the drawings of the cross. Personally, I like the general layout of the cross.
Celtic Cross is also very popular because of the beauty of the artwork. The node has no beginning and no end. It is also known as the cross of Iona and was very popular among early Christians in Brittania. Then, in the 6th century, it spread widely to the rest of Europe. Celtic Cross tattoo tends to be designed in tribal style. Scottish, Welsh and Irish usually have this tattoo to show his growing spiritual side and his pride in his heritage.
Marine Corps Tattoos can be a mix of creativity, personality, the Marines stations, family or really anything since it’s easy to incorporate together seeing as the Marine Corps has a couple different logos. One of the the most popular are a bulldog which is sort of like their mascot because of a recruiting area back in World War One where the marines were identified as Devil Dogs or Teufelhunde. With the motto being Semper Fidelis which means “Always Faithful” in Latin you’ll more than likely see those words scrolled across a Marines back or arm on a nice scroll or with the American flag incorporated in their tattoo. Last but not least amongst the popular theme of Marine Corps tattoos is an Eagle. Sometimes the eagle is incorporated with an Anchor which symbolizes unsinkable and a Globe. There are many meanings for these tattoos and many ways that you can have them designed. Some will get all of their tour dates tattooed on a scroll with an eagle and the flag connected to it. The options are endless and there is no doubt that these are the most respected tattoos of all.

With the Eagle symbolization of a Marine Corps tattoo being the most popular it’s not hard to see why. The Eagle represents freedom, the anchor we know means unsinkable and the globe symbolizing anything—worldy, traveled, protecting the land, its all about personality and creativity. These men and women risk their lives for freedom and they display it proudly on their body. No matter the design, the placement or even the colors—although most are just black ink, you can always be sure that these tattoos will mean the most to the person and they’ll spend a lot of time coming up with the design. Next time you see someone with a Marine Corp tattoo make sure you ask all about it, you’ll be amazed by their choice and reasoning behind the tattoo. Check out some of the most popular and unique ways to display affection for the Marines Corp below!
